Archbishop Jabez Bryce dies at 75
Suva, Fiji:
Tongan-born Archbishop Jabez Bryce (75) the Head of the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Polynesia passed away at Suva Private Hospital on Thursday, February 11 after an illness.

Tonga, picking up the New Year's beat - a little
Nuku'alofa, Tonga On New Year's Eve in a land where time begins, Tongans are welcoming in 2010 quietly. As midnight approaches there's a brass band playing a hymn somewhere nearby in the capital with a sombre tone that sounds more like a funeral dirge. But as the New Year rolls in church bells start ringing, the crackers make a lively statement for a few minutes and the band picks up the beat - a little.

Sia'atoutai remembers the Woodgates
Sia'atoutai, Nuku'alofa:
Tonga's Sia'atoutai Theological College witnessed a special ceremony on July 15 as the ashes of a former principal, the late Rev. Ronald Archibald William Woodgate, and his wife Ruth Elizabeth Woodgate were buried in a memorial in the college grounds.
